IMF lowered Canada’s GDP forecast in 2021 from 5.2% to 3.6%

International Monetary Fund warned that the world economy continues to face “abnormal uncertainty”, new COVID-19 infections and variant waves pose risks, and global activities will still be much lower than the pre-COVID level.

At the same time, the International Monetary Fund is more pessimistic about Canada’s economic prospects. IMF lowered Canada’s GDP forecast in 2021 from 5.2% to 3.6%, but the specific reasons were not explained.
